Please pray for Dara and Carson. Their father, Robbie Whitesell, and a local Alaskan pilot were killed yesterday when their plane crashed in Wasilla, AK. Here's the link to the story that appeared in the Anchorage Daily News.

I do read here in the Prayer Request section from time to time even though I may not respond I do pray for those who are mentioned. I appreciate updates on those mentioned as well.

Today I had a customer who's son, Tyler, was blown up in Iraq at the age of 19 and today two years after this happened, her son is still trying to learn to walk again and to overcome his other injuries. He is very angry that she didn't let them amputate his legs and yet now he is learning to walk on his OWN legs again. She told me the past two years have been the hardest in seeing her son go through so many surgeries and so much suffering and yet she is powerless herself to change...

Below is an email I received from our friends who used to be our neighbor for about 7 years when we all lived in Georgia. We also have lived within 13 miles of each other in the Dallas area in the mid-1990's before they were transferred to Denver area. They are currently living near Mobile. Sadie is the daughter of Robert and Joyce Terrel and she is in her early 20's. I believe she is about 21 as she is about 2 years younger than my oldest son.

Today I received sad news from my mother that my younger brother, Calvin, and two of my nephews, Thomas and Sheldon, have all lost their jobs. Please remember them in your prayers along with the thousands/millions who have recently lost their jobs due to cut backs. It is a tough time to be out of work and looking but our Father KNOWS our needs before we ask, so I have confidence that God will answer the prayers of His saints going up on behalf of ALL the unemployed people.

Prayers for my neighbor's father-in-law

My neighbor down the street has had her father-in-law in the hospital for almost a week. They are waiting until Friday to run tests on him. In the meantime, he is not eating or drinking much. The family is concerned as he is 81 and they aren't sure if he will be strong enough for testing. Please remember him in your prayers.

Thanks in advance for your prayers - his name escapes me at the moment - I've only met him once but he is a very pleasant man.

My mom had cataract surgery on her right eye this morning and all went well. PRAISE GOD!! She is scheduled to go back this afternoon at 4 pm for them to check the eye. They put the lens behind her eye and it will take approximately two weeks to fully heal.

Josh is doing well since his motorcycle accident. His hand is the only thing he is having trouble with now. He reinjured it at work and now has to wait for it to heal...

I just wanted to update you all on my mother-in-law - she was released to come home last Saturday and is coming along pretty well. She is getting cabin fever being home so much so my sister-in-law is trying to get her to go out for walks at the beach to help her get more walking for therapy etc. Please continue to remember her as she still struggles to use her left side.

My mother-in-law suffered either a stroke or a heart attack last night. She would not go to the hospital and this morning was unable to feel anything on her left side. My father-in-law took her to the hospital and she is undergoing a battery of tests. My sister-in-law is to keep us updated on her condition. I learned today that one of my co-workers, Maria, suffered a mild stroke either Thurs. night or Friday morning. She has been in the hospital undergoing tests. I was able to talk with Maria briefly today and she was still waiting to have more tests done. So far they are not finding any long term damage from the stroke. She still has lots of heaviness in her right arm from this. I've been off work since Thurs. evening and won't return until Tues. So won't have more news probably...

I've just learned from my daughter that my son Bobby was admitted to the ICU early this morning for bacterial menengitis. He's been given massive doses of antibiotics, and they've taken a spinal tap to identify the bacteria. Please ask God to heal him, and to guide the doctors as they attempt to diagnose and treat him. I hope to know more as the day progresses, but any and all prayers will be deeply appreciated.

My brother called me tonight to let me know that his knee has a level 2 staph infection and that the doctors have placed him on two powerful antibiotics. He will have to return to California as soon as possible so that he can undergo surgery to clean the knee out. The doctors here think that a piece of gauze or something may have been left behind after the surgery and could be the source of the infection. I got a very sad email late last night that a long time former WCG friend had passed away on the 18th. She was in a nursing home and they said she was down to
90 lbs. and they believe she may have had pancreatic cancer. Her two brothers are left to clear up her apt/affairs. One brother lives in the Dallas area but
the other is working in Florida. The funeral for Linda Sullins - age 54 - was held this morning at 10 a.m.
